Michael Bott and Rupert Soskin share a passion for archaeology, and
in 2001 they teamed up to create a film exploring the richness and
variety of our nation’s prehistoric monuments and the people
who built them. The film itself is reaching completion and through
this website you can get a taste of what is to come and keep an eye
on the final leg of their journey as they work their way through the
North and Scotland. LINK TO DVD PAGE
For lovers of the wild outdoors, the experience is a week long walking
holiday exploring the magic of Dartmoor’s ancient past with

MIKE BOTT
Michael was trained in the theatre where for many years he was an
actor working for The Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National
Theatre. Gradually over a period of years he made a shift into production

sites stems from early childhood when he was first taken to the Rollright
Stones in Oxfordshire. He has produced, directed and shot the ground
breaking Standing with Stones.

Rupert’s university education was in Design, Photography and
Natural History. His work has been copiously printed in books, magazine

and qualify as an expedition leader and diver. Rupert has travelled
extensively, lecturing and leading groups including expeditions to
visit the Kogi Indians in the jungles of Northern Colombia. His life

Standing with Stones 2 Disk DVD
There are about 1,000 stone circles in the British Isles. If you include
other megalithic monuments such as stone rows, long barrows, cairns,
cists, standing stones and others, the number runs to tens of thousands.
Yet most people can only name one. This DVD is an exploration beyond
Stonehenge, a discovery of the wealth that is Megalithic Britain.Written
and presented by explorer and naturalist Rupert Soskin, this film
takes the veiwer on a 2 hour prehistoric pilgrimage, visiting more
than 100 of the less familiar (but no less extraordinary) sites up
and down the country, from Cornwall to the Scottish Isles.
